Edit: just looked over the receiver capabilities in all platforms. Generic USB pass through is unsupported on Mac receiver at this time. There are apparently plans to work on this but no time frames or dates.. :(
For me it fails with the following error message: Remote Desktop Connection cannot verify the identity of the computer that you want to connect to. Watch out - the (version 2.1.1) that comes with Mac Microsoft Office 2011 no longer works with Windows 2012 R2 (it does work with plain old Windows 2012). Remote desktop connection client 1.0.3 for mac.

I have a redirection filter rule set up to allow a specific VID. With this filter on the vendor ID I am able to pass the device through on the windows receiver. A new option pops up in the VM drop down menu called Devices and the devices shows as an option. However on the Mac it appears you need to choose preferences then choose the devices tab. From there it looks like you need to find the COM port the device is attached to then look in a drop down box for each COM device to find the USB device. In my case the device is not found in any COM port selection. Anyone out there have Mac Receiver experience and can point me in the right direction?
