For online meetings with audio or video calls, you must have a webcam, a microphone, and either speakers or headphones. Join a conference call

You can access your scheduled conference invite from Outlook for Mac 2011.

  1. In Outlook Calendar, double-click the conference call invite.

  2. In the meeting message, click Join online meeting.

Note: If you know the online meeting URL, you can also join the meeting directly from Lync. In the Conversation menu, click Join Online Meeting by URL. In the URL box, enter the meeting URL.

Generally, this issue may has various causes. To troubleshoot this issue, please try the following:

  1. Try to sign in to Skype for Business Online by using an incorrect sign-in address. That is, a sign-in address that you know won't work. For example, EmailAddress @contoso.com.

Note: When you do this, sign-in will fail. This is expected behavior.

  1. After the sign-in fails, sign in by using the correct sign-in address. For example, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.
  2. Change to another network (like your home network) to check if there is any improvement.

Meanwhile, to better understand your situation, I’d like to collect the following information:

  1. Sign into the Lync client with another user’s account to check if the issue persists.
  2. Sign into the Lync client on another Mac that works fine with your credential and check if you can sign into the client. This can help to determine if the issue is related to your account or the Lync client of your Mac.
  3. About you try the “incorrect sign in” method recommended by Microsoft, do you mean the steps I mentioned above?
  4. What kind of the sign in address is, pure Skype for Business Online or on-premises?
  5. Since the Skype for Business for Mac client has been released, please download and install the client in your Mac to check if you can sign in successfully. If yes, it is recommended you use the Skype for Business for Mac client.

Hi Gary (and anyone that can offer tips), finally reengaged this problem.

1. Other employees' Lync (Office 365) accounts work on my computer.

2. My Lync/Office 365 account does not work on other computers.

It seems to work without issues on all other Office 365 products. Thoughts?

  1. Regarding “My Lync/Office 365 account does not work on other computers”, do you mean you also get the error message “please check your login credentials” when log into the other Lync 2011 clients in your colleagues’? Have you tried signing into Skype for Business for Windows client and Skype for Business Online (Log into your Outlook Web App and check if the Skype for Business Online in the top right corner window can be logged into)? If not, please try it.
